Cosywarm Underfloor Heatingfor NW Leicestershire and Derbyshire

Underfloor heating, often referred to as UFH, is becoming more and more popular, especially with new builds or extensions. Underfloor heating is a cleaner, smarter way to heat your home. Using radiant heat technology, it gently warms the people and objects in the room directly, from the ground up – which is a much more energy efficient heating method.

If you’re considering underfloor heating as part of an upcoming home renovation project, you probably have a lot questions and a few concerns about whether this is the right heating solution for you, the family and the home. Cosywarm are always happy to advise.

There are two types of underfloor heating: gas-powered (wet) underfloor heating and electric underfloor heating. In wet underfloor heating systems, heat is distributed around the house via thin pipes laid under the floor. An electric underfloor heating system, on the other hand, uses electric wires fitted beneath the floor to provide heat. When an electric current is passed through the wires, they become hot and that heat is transferred through the floor to the room above.

You need to be sure on what is best for you, Gas Costs vs. Electricity costs of course is a factor these days.
